Main Page
The main page of Curse is your central destination to one-click access for everything on the website.
There are several key sections of the page, all with an enormous amount of information designed in a clean, easy-to-use manner.
Curse.com Navigation Menu
The Curse.com navigation menu will be visible everywhere you are on the website, and will take you to several key places.
- Home - Clicking the Home link will take you back to the main page, regardless of where you are on the website.
- My Curse - The My Curse tab is everything you'll need for your own person Curse profile. Clicking on the My Curse link takes you to your profile page.
- Portals - The Portals tab is a drop-down menu that displays every Game Portal on the website. Clicking on any game name in the list will take you to that game's portal on Curse. Clicking on the Portals link will take you to a page that displays a list of these game portals.
- Game List - This link will take you to the Curse Game List - a database of more than 200 games and growing - which allows you to access a Mini-Portal for every game on the list.
- News - This link takes you to news.curse.com, your source for all news articles on Curse.
- Forums - This link takes you to forums.curse.com where you can create threads, or join in on discussions already going on.
- Downloads - This link takes you to downloads.curse.com where you'll find all of the files available for download on Curse. You can also create your own project easily from this page if you have something you want to share with the world.
- Blogs - This link takes you to blogs.curse.com where you can find other member-created blogs to read them and comment, or even create your own.
- Images - This link takes you to images.curse.com where you'll find all images that have been uploaded to Curse. These images must be game-related, but any Curse member can upload them free of charge with no bandwidth limits!
- Shop - The shop link will take you to the Curse shop, where you can find all sorts of electronics at low prices.
In the top-right corner of the screen you'll notice several links in the image above. Any time you have a favorite updated in your profile, this bolded red text alert will appear to let you know. The same goes for new messages - any time a new message is available, you'll get a bolded red alert here.
Theme allows you to select from two theme types: Light, which is used in the tour image examples, and Dark which is designed for those who feel Light is a bit too hard on the eyes. The flag drop-down menu allows you to select your language and as of right now Curse supports French, English, German, and Spanish.
Profile Box
To the left below the Curse menu, you'll find your profile box. This will be visible everywhere on the website, and has several useful links.
- My Account - This link will take you to your Control Panel, where you can edit many of your profiles settings.
- My Profile - This link will take you to your public profile page - the page everyone who visits your profile will see.
- Favorites - This link takes you to your favorites within your Control Panel, so that you can see what has been updated and better manage them.
- Inbox - This link takes you to your messages inbox so that you may access all of the available features with our private messaging system.
Gaming Portals
The Gaming Portals section is a set of logo links to game-specific portals. These links are easily discernible, containing the logo of that game.
Media Box
The Media Box's role on the main page is to display a brief caption of the more popular news on Curse. This Media Box will switch between the top-6 news articles periodically, but you can also control the switching yourself with the left and right arrows in the bottom-right corner of the Media Box.
New Members
In this box you'll see all of the latest members who have registered with Curse. Not a member yet? Well then join them and see all that Curse has to offer for our members! Signing up is simple, just visit our Account Page to create your account.
Content Box
The content box in the middle of the page contains tons of great information. From the latest news, to hot downloads, to the latest and greatest forum threads, to the most recent blog posts - it's all here and one click away.
What's Hot
The What's Hot box is there to let members and potential members know about some of the core features of the website. If it's here, we're confident it'll enhance your experience on Curse.
